Purification Prayers and Ritual Fragments

[Blessings spoken at the times of ritual washing and cleansing; preserved in fragments.]

[When he has bathed in water and is about to be made clean, he shall bless and say:] Blessed are you, O God of Israel, who has commanded us to be cleansed from all uncleanness, and to sanctify ourselves for you. [Text missing]

He shall purify himself in water, and afterward bless before God: Blessed are you, who has cleansed me of the impurity of my flesh, and sprinkled upon me the water of cleansing, that I may stand pure before you, and enter your covenant, and be reckoned among your holy ones. [Line damaged]

Not by water alone is a man made clean, but by turning from sin and walking in your statutes; for you cleanse the heart of the one who returns to you. [Text missing]
