Odes and Hymns from Early Syriac Tradition
[Archive witness: odes and hymns of the early Syriac tradition. The Odes of Solomon are filed under their own number; here other hymnic material is gathered.]
My heart was lifted up in the love of the Lord,
and my members were moved to sing to him.
He gave me to drink of his living water,
and I shall not thirst forever.
The Lord is my crown; I shall not be shaken;
his peace is upon me like a robe of light.
As the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so does the Lord rejoice over the soul that loves him; he adorns her with his grace, and brings her into his chamber, and she is glad in him forever. [Text missing]
