Demon-Binding Prayers and Inscriptions
[Archive witness: an ancient protective or ritual text, preserved as historical evidence — not doctrine, and not for practice.]
Texts that seek to bind or turn away the spirits believed to bring sickness and harm, set on bowls, amulets, and walls. Representative wording:
“Bound, bound, and sealed are you, spirit of harm, from so-and-so and from his house: bound by the name of the God of heaven, sealed by the seal of the Most High. As lead sinks in the deep, so sink and depart, and return no more. [Line damaged]”
“I turn you back to the place from which you came; you have no portion here, and no power; for the LORD is the guard of this dwelling. Amen, amen.”
