Blessings of the Wise

Blessed is the one who walks in the perfection of the way,

who seeks wisdom with a whole heart,

and does not forsake her in the trials of affliction.

Blessed is the one who keeps her commandments,

and does not exchange her for folly.

For wisdom is given to those who fear God, and understanding to those who keep his covenant; the LORD pours out his spirit upon them, and they are blessed in all their ways. But the fool despises instruction, and the scoffer hates knowledge; their portion is with the pit. [Text missing]
