The Apocryphon of Joshua

[Psalms and words attributed to Joshua; preserved in fragments.]

[When the people had crossed over the Jordan,] Joshua blessed the LORD and spoke before all Israel. [Text missing]

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,

who has brought his people over the Jordan,

into the land which he swore to their fathers.

He drove out nations before them

and gave them a land for which they did not labor.

And Joshua pronounced the curse in that day, and said, Cursed be the man before the LORD who rises up and rebuilds this city: at the cost of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest shall he set up its gates. And behold, a man accursed, a son of Belial, shall arise [Line damaged], to be a snare to his people and a ruin to all his neighbors. [Text missing]
