Pseudo-Ezekiel

[A reworking of the words and visions of Ezekiel; preserved in fragments.]

[And I said,] O Lord, I have seen many in Israel who have loved your name and walked in the ways of righteousness. When shall these things be, and how shall they be repaid for their faithfulness? And the LORD said to me, I will make the children of Israel see, and they shall know that I am the LORD. [Text missing]

And he said to me, Son of man, prophesy over the bones, and say, Let bone join to its bone, and joint to its joint. And it was so. And he said a second time, Prophesy, and let sinews come upon them and skin cover them over. And it was so. And again he said, Prophesy to the four winds of heaven, and let the winds breathe into them, and they shall live, and a great people shall stand up and bless the LORD of hosts who has given them life.

And I said, O Lord, when shall these things be? And he said, [Line damaged] in their time. And I saw, and behold a chariot, and the likeness of living creatures, wheels within wheels; and the brightness went before them. [Text missing]
