1.3.4 About the Author — John Griffin
John Griffin is a husband, father, coach, and seeker of truth whose life has been shaped by a deep hunger to know God as He truly is — not as tradition or fear has portrayed Him, but as revealed through the Spirit, the Scriptures, and the life of Jesus.
The meaning behind his name carries a quiet, sacred resonance. John, like the forerunner in Scripture, speaks of one who prepares the way — calling people out of confusion and back to clarity. Griffin, a symbol of guardianship and spiritual vigilance, reflects a sense of responsibility to protect what is sacred: the truth of the original Word of God, and the heart of the gospel as it was first given.
John doesn’t claim titles or credentials, but offers something deeper: a life marked by listening, wrestling, unlearning, and returning. His journey has taken him through the systems of religion and into the wilderness of questions — and it was there, in the wilderness, that the voice of God became unmistakably clear.
He believes that the same Spirit who moved through David — flawed, passionate, repentant, and courageous — also moves today through those willing to surrender pride and pursue God’s heart above all. That same Spirit leads him now: not toward platform or fame, but toward integrity, service, and truth.
The Bible Restored is not the result of an academic pursuit. It is the fruit of encounter, study, obedience, and a longing to see people set free from fear-based religion. John’s mission is simple but weighty: To help others remember the true gospel — the one that brings life, not fear; wholeness, not shame; trust, not torment.
