1 Enoch
Era of divine visitation, heavenly rebellion, and prophetic judgment
Meant to explain the origin of evil, the justice of the flood, and the Messianic hope
We will proceed section by section using the Ge'ez-based chapters. The scroll breaks into 5 thematic divisions:
The Book of Parables (Chs. 37–71)
The Astronomical Book (Chs. 72–82)
The Book of Dreams (Chs. 83–90)
The Epistle of Enoch (Chs. 91–108)
———
The words of the blessing of Enoch,
which he spoke as a message to the chosen and righteous
who will be living in the day of distress —
when all the wicked and godless will be removed.
Enoch, a man of trust, saw a vision from the Holy One of the heavens.
The messengers showed him what is to come upon the earth
to the generations yet unborn.
And he took up this parable and said:
“The Set-Apart One will come forth
from His heavenly dwelling.
He will step upon the mountain of eternity,
and His glory will shine upon all creation.
He will appear with thousands upon thousands of messengers,
and the Righteous One will arise
to bring justice upon all flesh.
He will remove the wicked from among the living,
and silence the boastful with the breath of His mouth.
But to the humble and pure in heart,
He will grant peace and shelter beneath His light.”
And the earth shall be shaken,
the high places will melt like wax before the fire,
and all who deny the Eternal will be cast down
like leaves in a mighty wind.
———
Look to the heavens — they do not change their path.
Gaze at the lights in the sky —
they rise and set in order,
obeying the command of their Maker.
And observe the earth — how it bears fruit in season.
Trees blossom at their appointed time.
All things created know their times.
———
Consider all the trees, how they rest in winter,
then awaken in spring.
Their leaves renew, their flowers open,
not by human hand,
but by the design of the Most High.
———
All things that grow know their season.
The sun, the moon, and the stars do not rebel.
But humanity — given wisdom and breath —
forgets its Maker
and does not walk in trust.
———
The Set-Apart One will arise
and bring justice to the fallen world.
For the unrighteous,
their names shall be erased from the Book of Life.
But to the righteous and the humble —
those who love truth and walk in the Light —
He will give peace.
They will dwell with the Messengers of Heaven.
Their joy will not fade,
their remembrance will never perish.
They will live in the light of the sun,
and grace will be poured out upon them like rain.
Chapters 6–11 introduce the Watchers, the Nephilim, and the reason for the Flood.
This is where the real conflict begins.
———
In those days, when the children of men had multiplied,
beautiful and radiant daughters were born to them.
And the watchers, the sons of heaven, saw them and desired them.
They said to one another, “Come, let us choose wives from among the daughters of men,
and bear children with them.”
Their leader was Shemihazah. He said to them,
“I fear you will not truly follow through with this deed,
and I alone will bear the judgment for this great sin.”
But they all answered him, “Let us bind ourselves with an oath,
and together we shall not turn back from this act.”
So they bound themselves by mutual curses and swore together.
And they descended upon the summit of Mount Hermon
— they called the mountain Hermon because they had sworn and bound themselves by oath upon it.
These were their leaders:
Shemihazah, their captain,
Arakiba, Rameel, Kokabiel, Tamiel, Ramiel, Danel, Ezeqiel, Baraqiel, Asael,
Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaqiel, Samsiel, Satariel, Turel, Jomiel, and Sariel —
twenty in all, and together they led two hundred watchers.
———
And they took wives for themselves, choosing each one for himself.
They began to defile themselves with them,
and they taught them magic and sorcery,
charms and the cutting of roots, and the revealing of forbidden knowledge.
The women became pregnant by them and bore giants —
great and violent ones, who devoured all the labor of men.
And when men could no longer sustain them,
the giants turned against them and began to devour mankind.
They also began to sin against birds and beasts,
reptiles and fish — perverting all flesh.
Then the earth cried out, and the voice of her groaning reached heaven.
———
And Asael taught men to make weapons of war —
swords, knives, shields, and armor —
and revealed to them the metals of the earth
and how to mold them.
He taught the art of bracelets and ornaments,
the use of makeup and dyes,
how to beautify the eyelids, and the secrets of precious stones and coloring tinctures.
And from this arose much vanity and corruption.
Amazarak taught incantations and root-cutting.
Armaros taught the breaking of curses.
Barakel taught the movement of the stars.
Kokabiel taught signs and constellations.
Tamiel taught astrology.
And Asradel taught the path of the moon.
And as men learned these things,
destruction increased upon the earth —
blood was spilled,
and the outcry of injustice reached the heavens.
———
Then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven.
They saw the bloodshed on the earth,
and how lawlessness had grown beyond measure.
They said before the Set-Apart One of Heaven:
“You see what has happened —
what Asael has done, who taught forbidden secrets on the earth,
and what Shemihazah and his band of watchers have done,
who have defiled themselves with the daughters of men.
They have corrupted all flesh,
and taught the hidden things of the heavens to those who dwell on the earth.
Now the souls of the oppressed cry out
and reach the gates of heaven,
and their lament cannot be silenced.
Bring judgment, O Most High,
and renew the earth which these rebels have defiled.”
———
And the Most High, the Great One, spoke and said to the messenger Uriel:
“Go to the son of Lamech — to Noah — and tell him in My name:
‘Hide yourself, and reveal to him the coming flood,
for the whole earth will be washed clean of its corruption.
A flood will come and cleanse the earth of all who dwell upon it.
Teach him how to escape,
for his line will be preserved to raise up a remnant of life.’”
And to Raphael He said:
“Bind Asael hand and foot,
cast him into the darkness,
and open the desert pit that lies in Dudael.
Throw him in, cover him with sharp stones,
and leave him there in utter darkness until the great day of judgment.”
“Heal the earth, which the watchers have corrupted,
and proclaim peace to her again.”
And to Gabriel He said:
“Go against the children of the watchers, the giants,
and destroy them — let them turn upon one another in war and be wiped from the earth.”
And to Michael He said:
“Bind Shemihazah and his companions,
imprison them beneath the hills of the earth until seventy generations pass,
and then they will be judged in the great fire on the Day of Restoration.”
“And the earth shall be healed,
and all the children of the righteous shall live and grow strong,
and never again shall there be giants or spirits of rebellion upon it.”
———
Then the earth shall yield her blessings again.
All her trees shall be planted in joy,
and her vineyards shall pour forth sweet wine.
The winds shall bring healing,
and all things shall flourish as in the beginning.
And the righteous shall live and rejoice upon the land,
and the Most High shall dwell with them in gladness forevermore.
Chapters 12–16 Enoch is formally commissioned to deliver the message of judgment to the fallen watchers — and begins his prophetic journey through the heavens.
———
Before anything was corrupted, Enoch had been hidden from among the people,
and none of the sons of men knew where he was concealed.
The messengers of the Set-Apart One called to him:
“Enoch, righteous scribe, scribe of truth,
go and declare to the watchers of heaven —
those who have left their sacred place and defiled themselves with the daughters of men.”
“Tell them: You were once in the heights of heaven,
but now you will have no peace.”
———
Enoch went to Azazel and the other watchers.
They were filled with dread,
and the fear of judgment seized them.
They begged Enoch to write a petition for them,
to present it before the Most High —
that He might forgive them and grant mercy for their rebellion.
So Enoch wrote their petition
and stayed with them for many days in the west of Mount Hermon,
near the waters of Dan, where they had descended.
Then he fell asleep and received a dream vision.
In it, he saw that their request would not be granted —
their sentence was sealed.
Enoch awoke and went to them,
and declared:
“This is the message I was given in my sleep —
your petition will not be heard.”
———
And the vision came to me, Enoch,
as I was taken in the wind of the Set-Apart Spirit
and lifted above the earth.
I was brought to a great and flaming mountain,
and its foundation reached to the depths of the earth.
From beneath it came rivers of fire.
And I looked up and saw the heavens trembling,
and the Most High seated on His throne of glory.
The chambers of flame and storm surrounded Him,
and His face could not be seen —
a brilliance greater than lightning,
and a voice like many waters.
Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him,
and countless messengers served Him.
Then I fell face down, and a voice called to me:
“Come near, Enoch, and hear My word.
Go and speak to the watchers of heaven
who have sent you to intercede for them.
Tell them this: It is not for you, who were once heavenly,
to petition on behalf of men.
But for men, it was given that they might petition for you.”
———
“Why have you left your high and holy place
to defile yourselves with the daughters of men,
and become like flesh-bound mortals?”
“You, who were created as messengers of light,
have poured out corruption upon the earth.
You have birthed giants,
whose spirits — though their bodies die —
remain upon the earth as wandering beings.”
“These spirits shall be called unclean spirits.
They will trouble humanity,
lead them into violence and deception,
and feed upon their suffering.”
“They shall rise against the children of men
until the time of the great judgment.”
“But you — the watchers — shall be bound beneath the earth
and shall not see the light again
until the end of days.”
———
“As for the giants born of your union —
they shall fall by the sword of one another.
Their days are numbered,
and they will have no peace.”
“You watched the stars and the paths of the heavens,
but you did not understand justice.
You taught secrets not meant for earth.
You betrayed your station.”
“Now judgment has come.
You shall be imprisoned forever,
and your offspring shall perish with you.”
Enoch is officially commissioned by the Most High as a messenger to the fallen watchers.
He delivers the divine sentence: no forgiveness, eternal confinement.
The origin of unclean spirits (disembodied Nephilim) is revealed.
The heavenly court declares a cosmic cleansing — justice is coming.
Chapters 17–19 Enoch begins his journey through the heavens and witnesses the foundations of creation and the prisons of the watchers.
———
They lifted me up and carried me to a place where the sky touches the land —
to mountains whose peaks burned like fire,
and valleys that opened into abysses of eternal darkness.
There I saw deep places,
where the foundations of the earth trembled.
Columns of heavenly fire shot up like waves,
and rivers of molten flame rushed down from above.
I asked the messenger who guided me,
“What is this place of shadow and fire?”
And he said,
“This is the end of the earth and heaven,
where the stars of heaven are bound,
and the rebellious ones await their judgment.”
———
I saw the storehouses of the winds,
and the boundaries of the seas,
where the waves rise and crash but never cross their appointed lines.
I saw the firm foundations of the earth —
the deep pillars that hold creation in balance.
I saw the treasuries of the stars —
each one set in place by name and order.
None of them strays from its path.
Then I was shown a place of punishment,
where fallen stars — great messengers who betrayed their trust —
are held captive beneath the earth.
They are wrapped in chains of fire,
awaiting the Day of the Great Reckoning.
These are the messengers who did not keep their station
but abandoned their rightful place in the heavens.
Their fall is a warning to all generations:
The Most High does not forget what was entrusted.
———
Then Uriel spoke to me and said,
“These watchers — who once walked among the stars —
have defiled themselves with the daughters of men,
and have become enslaved to flesh.”
“They have shown mankind the secrets of heaven
that were never meant to be revealed on earth.”
“Now their judgment is sealed.
Their names will not rise in the records of the Set-Apart.”
And I saw the spirits of their children —
the giants whose bodies perished,
but whose spirits remain on the earth,
bringing violence and confusion.
These are the wandering spirits —
not of heaven, not of earth —
restless and unclean.
Enoch begins a guided journey through the outer boundaries of creation.
He witnesses the storehouses of the elements, the stars, and the great abyss where the rebellious watchers are bound.
The origin and identity of “wandering spirits” (unclean spirits) is confirmed: the disembodied offspring of the Nephilim.
The watchers’ rebellion is framed not just as a fall, but as a cosmic betrayal of trust and order.
Chapters 20–25 Enoch meets the seven archangels, sees heavenly realms, and is shown the Tree of Life.
———
These are the names of the sacred messengers who watch over the earth and heaven:
Uriel, who rules over the world and the luminaries.
Raphael, who is set over the spirits of humanity, to bring healing and restoration.
Raguel, who brings justice to the world of the heavenly messengers, correcting what is out of order.
Michael, who is set over the people of trust, the righteous among men.
Sariel, who watches over the spirits of those who sin in the spirit.
Gabriel, who is set over all power and strength, and over the guardians of paradise and judgment.
Remiel, who is appointed over those who rise — the resurrection of the righteous.
———
I was carried to a desolate place
where the heavens no longer touched the earth —
a void of chaos and shadow,
a prison of jagged stones and unending flame.
There I saw the stars that had fallen —
bound together in a vast chasm of burning sorrow.
And the wind wailed like mourning,
and the waters raged beneath them.
I asked, “What is this terrifying place?”
And the messenger said,
“This is the prison of the watchers —
those who rebelled against their Creator
and revealed forbidden knowledge to humankind.”
———
From there I was taken to another place —
a hollow mountain with deep, carved valleys.
Inside it were four hollow spaces,
each separate from the others.
A mighty stream of radiant fire passed through them.
And I asked, “What are these places, and why are they separated?”
And the messenger said:
“These are the chambers of the dead.
Here the souls of the sons of men await the appointed day.”
“One chamber is for the righteous —
those who lived in trust, whose reward is light and rest.”
“Another is for the wicked —
where they are held in sorrow, awaiting their sentence.”
“The third is for those not fully righteous nor fully wicked —
their fate is still being weighed.”
“And the fourth is for those who cry out for justice,
like Abel, whose soul still calls out from the ground.”
———
Then I was shown a blazing fire that went beyond reckoning,
neither touching sky nor earth —
a flame unending, set apart from the world.
I said, “What is this place of fire?”
The messenger said,
“This is the fire that burns continually
where the heavenly throne will bring justice.
It is not for destruction but for purification —
to restore what was twisted and reveal what is true.”
———
Then I was taken to a majestic mountain —
greater than all I had seen.
And on it grew a tree unlike any other.
Its fragrance filled the heavens,
its leaves shone like the sun,
and its fruit glowed like pearls.
I asked, “What is this tree, so full of life?”
The messenger replied:
“This is the Tree of Life,
planted for the righteous and the humble.
It shall be given to them in the Day of Restoration,
when the Anointed One brings healing to all nations.”
———
The tree’s roots reached into the holy mountain,
and its branches spread across paradise.
And the fragrance of its fruit
will enter the bones of the chosen
and bring them joy without end.
Its fruit shall not decay,
and its leaves shall not wither.
The Anointed One shall sit beneath it,
and the righteous shall dwell around Him.
This is the promise of the Set-Apart One
for those who endure and trust in His Name.
Enoch is introduced to the seven archangels, each with a divine assignment over justice, healing, resurrection, and the cosmos.
He visits the abyss of the fallen stars, the waiting place of souls, and sees the first glimpse of fire as purification, not torment.
Finally, he beholds the Tree of Life, promised to the righteous in the Day of the Anointed — a sacred vision of restoration and reward.
Chapters 26–36 completing The Book of the Watchers, including the Garden of the Righteous, astral geography, and final judgment prophecies.
———
I was taken to a land of living waters,
full of trees that never withered,
and mountains that dripped with oil and honey.
There, in a valley rich with fragrance,
I saw the righteous and the chosen gathered,
resting in peace beneath the covering of light.
This is the land of blessing,
where the Most High will bring His chosen ones
in the Day of Renewal.
———
Then I saw a deep valley, dark and cursed,
where those who deny the Eternal Name
shall be gathered in the last days.
In that place will rise a river of fire,
not to torment, but to cleanse the earth
of the blood and violence it has absorbed.
This is the valley of justice —
where the wicked are set apart
not for eternal torment,
but for the restoration of truth.
———
I was shown another region of the earth —
a place of mighty mountains rooted deep in the earth.
There the rock was ancient and unmoved,
and from it flowed streams of living water.
I asked, “Why do these peaks never fall?”
The messenger replied:
“These are the pillars of the earth,
set by the hands of the Creator,
unshaken since the foundation of the world.”
———
I saw the treasuries of the winds —
each held back by gates,
released at their appointed seasons.
There were chambers of mist,
and reservoirs of dew and rain,
held in readiness for the blessing of the earth.
———
I saw the spirits of the cold and snow,
who go forth with gentleness or with fury
according to the command of the Most High.
They do not rebel,
but serve the balance of creation
with precision and purpose.
———
I beheld trees with sweet-smelling blossoms,
and fruit that shone like stars.
Their leaves released a fragrance
that brought peace to the heart.
And in their midst were trees that sparked with fire,
yet were not consumed.
These were set apart for the healing of the earth —
reserved for the Anointed One and those who walk in light.
———
I was taken far across the earth,
and there I saw a mountain of fire,
and beyond it a garden more radiant than anything I had ever seen.
In it grew the Tree of Wisdom —
its fruit was like a cluster of grapes,
its fragrance more powerful than any spice.
This was the tree that Adam and Eve were shown,
but from which they turned away.
It was preserved for the righteous
to partake of in the time to come.
———
I traced the path of the sun,
from rising to setting,
and saw how it moves through the gates of heaven.
I saw the circuits of the moon and stars,
each obeying its path without deviation.
None transgresses the command of the Most High,
except those fallen beings who corrupted the earth.
———
I reached the boundaries of the dry land,
where the great waters meet the earth.
I saw the gates of the seas,
and the winds that govern the tides.
Everything was in its place,
awaiting the Day of the Set-Apart One.
———
I saw the dwelling of the messengers of light,
and the homes of the righteous who had not defiled themselves.
They were robed in white,
shining with joy,
and they walked among trees that never faded.
And the Most High walked among them,
and His voice was like a song of many waters.
———
I came to the final gate —
beyond it was hidden fire and mist,
a realm not yet revealed.
There the stars enter and leave their paths,
guarded by spirits of fire and purity.
These are the hidden places,
known only to the Creator and revealed to the chosen
in the time of understanding.
Enoch is taken on a cosmic journey from Mount Hermon to the pillars of heaven.
He witnesses the fate of the watchers, the judgment of the wicked, and the peace reserved for the righteous.
The Tree of Life, the chambers of the dead, and the gates of the elements are revealed.
Fire is reframed not as torment but as refining, and the order of creation is shown to be sacred and intentional.
Chapters 37–44: The First Parable — Throne, Light, and the Voice of Creation
———
This is the vision of wisdom
that Enoch, son of Jared, received —
a vision for the chosen and the righteous,
who will arise in the days of trouble
when evil is strong and truth is silenced.
The Set-Apart One of Heaven revealed to me three parables,
filled with light, fire, and voices from beyond the veil.
———
When the congregation of the righteous appears,
and the Anointed One stands among them,
evil shall be cast out from the earth,
and the path of justice shall be made straight.
The eyes of the proud will be lowered,
and they will no longer lift their faces
before the face of the Holy One.
But the righteous shall dwell in light,
and truth shall walk with them forever.
———
In those days, I saw the dwelling places of the set-apart ones.
Their homes were filled with light and praise.
I was carried up to a realm of fire and crystal,
where the heavens were open before me.
I saw the faces of the righteous —
full of joy and light,
singing songs of life
before the glory of the Ancient One.
Then I, Enoch, was blessed by the messengers,
and the Spirit rested upon me.
I heard the voice of the Holy One speak peace over me:
“You shall dwell with the sons of light.”
———
And I saw four mighty messengers standing before the Most High.
Michael, the compassionate and merciful, who defends the righteous.
Raphael, who brings healing and life.
Gabriel, who rules over power and strength.
Phanuel, who oversees the repentance and hope of those who inherit eternal life.
These are they who do not sleep
but keep watch over the earth and the words of the Most High.
———
Then I was shown the secrets of the heavens —
how the sun and moon are balanced,
and how justice is weighed upon the earth.
I saw how the winds are measured,
and how the waters of the seas are divided.
Nothing moves without purpose.
Everything has its season and command.
And I saw how sin distorts creation,
and how the Most High will restore the balance
through the judgment of truth.
———
Wisdom went out to dwell among the children of men,
but she found no place where she was welcomed.
She returned to the heavens,
and took her seat among the messengers.
Then injustice came forth
and made her home among those without understanding.
———
I saw another mystery:
The lights of heaven move in ordered paths.
Each star has a name and a time.
Each one fulfills its purpose
and testifies to the glory of its Maker.
Their voices are not heard,
but their movement speaks wisdom to those who understand.
———
I saw the thunder and lightning,
stored in vessels of light,
awaiting the command of the Set-Apart One.
The waters and winds,
the snow and hail,
all have voices that cry out before the throne.
Nothing is silent in creation —
everything gives praise,
even the storms obey His word.
Enoch receives his first parable, declaring the gathering of the righteous and the removal of evil.
He is carried into heavenly realms, sees the dwelling of the elect, and meets the four chief archangels.
He is shown the cosmic order — the balance of light, time, justice, and the voices of creation itself.
Wisdom, personified, leaves the earth due to corruption but remains reserved for the remnant.
Chapters 45–57 the Son of Man is revealed and the Day of Judgment is prophesied in power and clarity.
This section unveils the Son of Man — the Righteous One chosen before creation — and details the judgment of kings and oppressors, the hope of the righteous, and the coming cosmic upheaval.
———
This is what the Set-Apart One declared:
“A new heaven I will stretch out,
and a new earth shall rise —
where the righteous shall dwell
and the wicked shall have no place.”
In that day, My Anointed One —
the Righteous One, the Chosen One —
shall be revealed to sit upon a throne of glory,
and he shall judge all with justice.
———
I looked, and there was One —
like a son of man —
whose face was full of grace,
like one born of woman.
He was seated beside the Ancient One,
and the spirits of the righteous bowed before Him.
This Son of Man was hidden from the beginning,
but revealed in the end
to bring justice to the kings of the earth
and to crush the power of the proud.
He will break the teeth of the violent,
and the scepter of oppression shall be no more.
———
In those days, the prayers of the righteous shall be heard,
and the blood of the innocent shall no longer be ignored.
The heavenly books shall be opened,
and the Most High will consider every deed and every word.
The cry of the slain shall rise no longer in vain —
for justice shall descend
like fire upon the heads of the oppressors.
———
Before the sun and stars were set in place,
the Name of the Chosen One was known before the Most High.
He will be a light to the nations,
and a shelter for the weary.
All who reject his name shall fall,
but those who trust in him
shall drink from the fountain of life.
———
Wisdom shall pour from his lips like a river,
and his word shall burn like fire.
He shall strike the earth with the breath of his mouth,
and the wicked shall melt before him like wax.
The chosen ones shall rise with him,
and their joy shall have no end.
———
In those days, the righteous shall rise
and shine brighter than the stars.
The glory of the Set-Apart One shall rest upon them,
and the darkness will flee before their light.
They shall rejoice,
for the earth shall be renewed
and no longer bear the weight of corruption.
———
In that day, the earth shall give up her dead,
and Sheol shall return those who sleep in her chambers.
The Anointed One shall call them by name,
and the bones shall rise and be clothed with breath.
The righteous shall be lifted up,
and the wicked shall be like chaff in the wind.
———
I was taken to a valley of iron, bronze, silver, and gold —
mountains of wealth and pride.
But they shall melt like wax before fire
when the Anointed One appears.
For these metals had become idols to men,
and the works of greed shall be undone.
———
I saw chains of fire prepared
for kings and mighty ones
who trusted in their thrones more than the Most High.
A deep valley had been carved out —
a prison for the proud.
The messengers stood ready,
to cast them down on the Day of Justice.
———
I saw messengers binding the giants and violent spirits.
They were prepared for the Day of Wrath.
The flood had swept them away before,
but now they awaited the fire.
In that day, their spirits shall be silenced,
and they shall no longer rise against the sons of men.
———
The Set-Apart One shall call His people from the four corners,
and they shall come — riding upon clouds of light.
They will be gathered beneath His wings,
and the voice of praise shall rise like thunder.
In that day, there will be no more fear,
only joy,
for the Anointed One shall reign.
———
The kings of the earth shall gather their armies
to make war against the Anointed One.
But He shall strike them down
with the word from His mouth
and the wind of the Set-Apart Spirit.
The sword shall not save them,
and their pride shall be their downfall.
———
I saw a great and hidden place beneath the mountains,
filled with weapons and shadows.
The rulers of the earth had hidden their strength there,
thinking to rise in the last days.
But the Most High shall uncover their secrets,
and nothing that is hidden shall remain.
The Son of Man is revealed in glory and preeminence, chosen before creation to bring justice and shelter the righteous.
He will destroy the power structures of the world, judge kings and oppressors, and restore the earth.
A resurrection of the righteous is promised, and the evil spirits and giants are bound for final judgment.
This section reaches a crescendo of cosmic hope, eternal justice, and divine order being re-established.
Chapters 58–71 comples The Book of Parables and reveals the heavenly ascension of Enoch, the secrets of the stars, and the final enthronement of the Son of Man.
Chapters 58–71: Joy, Transformation, and the Eternal Son of Man
———
In those days, the light of joy shall return to the righteous,
and the days of sorrow shall be forgotten.
The Set-Apart One shall shine upon them,
and their reward shall overflow.
Their voice shall rise like the song of rivers,
and the earth shall bloom beneath their feet.
———
I saw the chambers of the winds,
the paths of thunder,
and the storehouses of mist.
Each spirit of creation had its purpose:
one for peace, one for judgment, one for life.
Nothing moved apart from command —
all obeyed the voice of the Most High.
———
In the year five hundred of Noah’s life,
the messengers revealed great secrets to him.
He saw the heavens opened
and the earth trembling beneath great beasts.
The Leviathan — a serpent of the deep —
writhed in the sea.
The Behemoth — a beast of the land —
roared upon dry ground.
But they were kept apart by the wisdom of the Most High,
until the Day of Consummation.
———
I heard a voice proclaiming:
“Gather, O righteous ones, and bow before the Son of Man.
For He is the fountain of light and the judge of all kings.”
The messengers stood in rows,
holding scrolls and trumpets,
ready to bless the name of the Chosen One forever.
———
The kings and rulers of the earth shall see Him,
and their courage shall melt like wax before fire.
They shall fall on their faces,
and say, “Would that we had served the Anointed One!”
But the righteous shall rise with boldness,
clothed in glory and strength,
for their day has come.
———
Then the kings who had oppressed the earth
shall cry out with bitter sorrow:
“Now we understand —
wealth could not save us,
and thrones cannot shield us from justice.”
They shall weep, but it shall be too late.
For the Son of Man has drawn the line.
———
I saw the great fire of judgment,
and the angels preparing their swords and scrolls.
The stars trembled,
and the earth gave up her secrets.
Every hidden deed was revealed,
and the throne of justice was set in place.
———
Enoch spoke to his great-grandson Noah, saying:
“A flood is coming,
and the earth shall be cleansed.”
“Build a vessel of safety,
and preserve life within it.
For the Most High has seen the corruption of all flesh.”
———
I saw the messengers loosing the fountains of the deep.
Rain fell from the heavens,
and the earth was broken open.
The flood came as judgment —
not to destroy forever,
but to purify what had been defiled.
———
The waters rose and covered the mountains.
But within them was mercy —
a renewal for the world.
The watchers who had corrupted the earth
watched from beneath, bound in sorrow.
Their day of fire was yet to come.
———
I was shown the names of the watchers who had fallen:
Shemihazah, Asael, and their companions.
They had revealed secrets not meant for earth,
and led many into ruin.
Their judgment was written in stone,
and their legacy would be erased.
———
Then I was shown the names of the righteous messengers:
Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Phanuel, Sariel —
who stand before the face of the Most High.
They were entrusted with the secrets of life,
the breath of man, the healing of the wounded,
and the guiding of the righteous.
———
In those days, Enoch was lifted up by the Spirit.
He was taken from among the children of men,
and clothed in light.
He was given a seat among the messengers,
and his name was known in the heavens.
He became a scribe and a witness —
one who sees, one who records,
one who walks with the Eternal.
———
I was carried to the place of judgment and glory,
and there I saw the Son of Man once more.
He welcomed me and said,
“You shall walk with Me,
and your voice shall speak to generations yet unborn.”
“You shall write what you have seen,
and bless those who love truth.”
Then I saw the stars rejoice,
and the messengers bowed before Him.
And I, Enoch, walked with the Anointed One —
and was no longer of the earth.
The joy of the righteous is declared, and the flood is foretold as a purification.
The Son of Man judges kings, and those who scorned truth now tremble before Him.
The fallen are named and condemned, while the righteous messengers are honored.
Enoch is transformed, exalted into the heavens, and walks with the Anointed One forever.
You have now completed the full restored translation of 1 Enoch: Chapters 1–71, comprising:
The Astronomical Book (Chs. 72–82) next: This section unlocks the 364-day calendar, sacred timekeeping, and pre-flood wisdom on cosmic cycles — critical for restoring the Calendar of God.
———
This is the account of the sun’s path through the heavens,
as shown to Enoch by Uriel, the messenger set over the luminaries.
The sun rises and sets through six eastern gates and six western gates,
which are fixed in the firmament above the earth.
In the first month, the sun rises through the fourth gate,
and sets through the fourth gate in the west.
Each month, it shifts one gate:
moving toward the sixth gate by the summer solstice,
and then back again toward the first gate by the winter solstice.
When the sun rises through the sixth gate,
the day becomes longer than the night.
When it returns to the first gate,
the night becomes longer than the day.
Over the course of the year, the sun completes 364 days —
six days in each of sixty weeks,
a perfect and ordered cycle of light.
Each quarter of the year contains 91 days,
marked by the turning of the sun at the solstices and equinoxes.
This is the appointed timekeeping
for the seasons, festivals, and days of rest —
established by the Most High from the beginning.
———
After the sun, I was shown the path of the moon —
how it follows behind the sun but does not travel in the same pace.
The moon completes its cycle in 29.5 days,
waxing and waning in light as it moves across the sky.
In the beginning of the month, its light is hidden.
On the fourth day, it begins to shine.
By the seventh day, half its light is visible.
On the fourteenth day, it is full.
Then it begins to wane,
reducing its light day by day,
until it is again dark and begins a new cycle.
The moon does not rise through the same gates as the sun,
but it too moves through the heavenly paths
according to its appointed measure.
———
The moon brings in the months,
and the sun completes the years.
Twelve full cycles of the moon equal 354 days —
ten days shorter than the sun’s path.
These ten days are not to be lost or forgotten,
but are restored by the sacred solar calendar of 364 days.
Therefore, let no man follow the moon alone for measuring the year,
or he will stray from the seasons and the Sabbaths.
The Most High appointed 364 days,
not 354 nor 365,
for the years of the righteous.
These are perfect and complete,
neither added to nor diminished,
that the seasons may remain in harmony
and the appointed feasts not be corrupted.
———
I was shown the four winds of heaven,
each coming from its own gate — east, west, north, and south.
These winds bring blessing and judgment,
storms and calm,
cold and heat,
according to the will of the Most High.
The twelve gates of the sun and moon are aligned
to divide the earth into four seasons,
each ruled by a principal wind and appointed star.
The first gate of the east is for the spring.
The third gate is for summer.
The fifth gate is for autumn.
And the sixth gate is for winter.
These gates govern the length of days,
the timing of sowing and harvest,
the rise of rivers, and the setting of the stars.
The sun moves through six eastern and six western gates, marking the seasons and solstices.
The solar year is precisely 364 days — four perfect quarters of 91 days.
The moon cycles through 29.5-day months, but should not be used to define the full year.
Timekeeping is sacred and was entrusted to the righteous through Enoch to prevent corruption of Sabbaths and holy days.
Winds and gates also govern creation — in rhythm with appointed times and cosmic balance.
Chapters 76–82 complete The Astronomical Book by detailing the gate system of the winds and stars, the final warnings about false calendars, and Enoch’s charge to preserve the sacred timing
These chapters expand the system of heavenly gates, wind spirits, and star cycles, and they conclude with Enoch’s urgent command to preserve the 364-day calendar — a gift of divine order entrusted to the righteous.
———
I saw twelve gates on the edges of the earth —
three on each side: east, west, north, and south.
Through them go forth the winds,
the spirits of blessing and judgment,
of heat and cold, of drought and rain.
Some winds bring healing,
others bring destruction —
each according to its appointed time and purpose.
From these gates come the paths of the sun and moon,
and also the stars that rise in their seasons.
These are the boundary lines of creation,
where sea meets land, and heaven touches earth.
———
The earth is divided into four quarters,
each ruled by a chief wind and a guardian mountain.
In the east is the dwelling of the righteous.
In the west lies the great sea and the chambers of the sun.
In the north are the frozen lands and dark valleys.
In the south are rivers of fire and the land of dryness.
There also dwell the two great beasts:
Leviathan, the serpent of the sea,
and Behemoth, the beast of the desert.
These creatures were made for the Day of Judgment,
when justice shall be revealed and all secrets exposed.
———
The names of the sun are Orjârês and Tomâs.
It shines for 364 days in a perfect year.
The moon has four names, one for each of its phases.
It rises and sets differently than the sun,
but is also ruled by the gates and quarters of heaven.
The moon's light increases until full,
then decreases until it disappears —
and begins again according to its appointed time.
Both the sun and moon serve the Most High,
and they do not deviate from His commands.
———
In the days of sinners,
people shall err in their understanding of the months and seasons.
They will observe the moon for signs,
and forget the path of the sun.
Festivals will be moved,
Sabbaths will be broken,
and the sacred year will be defiled.
Great wrath shall come upon those who distort the appointed times,
for they trample the rhythm of heaven.
———
In those days, the order of the stars shall be hidden from the wise.
The paths of the sun and moon shall be confused by those who lead astray.
The seasons shall not come at their time,
the rain will be withheld,
and the earth will fail to bear fruit.
The sun will appear in the wrong gates,
and nothing will be as it was commanded.
All this will be a sign
that the end is near
and the time of restoration has come.
———
Uriel spoke and said,
“These things you have seen, Enoch,
are to be written down and preserved for future generations.”
“Teach your son Methuselah,
and through him, the righteous shall know how to walk
according to the seasons of truth.”
“Do not hide what is holy.
For the wise shall understand,
and the humble shall walk by this light.”
“But the wicked will mock and forget,
and they shall stumble in their appointed days.”
———
Enoch wrote in a scroll all the courses of the luminaries,
the weeks of the years, the months, and the appointed feasts.
He revealed that a year is 364 days —
divided into four quarters of 91 days.
The calendar is kept by the sun,
not the moon,
and this rhythm shall never be broken among the righteous.
Enoch warned:
“If you abandon this way,
your seasons will be confused,
your harvests will fail,
and your Sabbaths will be defiled.”
“But if you walk in the light of the heavens,
you shall live in harmony with creation,
and the face of the Most High shall shine upon you.”
The twelve gates of the winds and the boundaries of the world are revealed.
The paths of the sun, moon, and stars are described with precision and purpose.
A prophetic warning is given: abandoning the 364-day calendar leads to corruption of time, seasons, and worship.
Enoch writes down the sacred calendar for future generations — to preserve divine order in time and truth.
The Book of Dreams (Chs. 83–90) —recounts symbolic visions of the flood, world empires, and the rise of the Anointed One, all through allegorical dreams given to Enoch.
Chapters 83–90: The Flood and the Animal Apocalypse
———
I, Enoch, raised my voice to the Eternal One
and poured out my tears on behalf of the children of men.
In a vision by night, I saw the heavens collapse,
and great mountains fall,
and the earth was torn in pieces.
Waters rose upon the land,
and destruction came upon all flesh.
Then I awoke in sorrow and fear,
and I cried out:
“O Most High, do not leave the righteous to perish!”
———
Enoch lifted his voice in prayer:
“O Master of all,
Eternal One of light and justice,
do not abandon those who trust in You.”
“Wash away wickedness,
and raise up the righteous like seeds in a dry land.”
“Let Your Name be known among generations yet unborn,
and remember Your covenant with those who walk in truth.”
———
I looked again in a dream, and behold:
a bull emerged from the earth, white and pure.
After him came a heifer,
and together they bore many oxen.
I saw black bulls and red bulls,
each one fighting and devouring the others.
Then a white bull was born among them,
and he became a great and mighty leader.
———
I saw one of the bulls leave its place and seek a strange pasture.
It mated with wild beasts,
and a new breed of giants was born — tall and terrifying.
These giants devoured the labor of the field,
and began to attack the cattle,
until the whole land was in uproar.
———
Then I saw messengers from the heavens descend —
white like snow, with flaming eyes.
They struck the giants,
and bound the rebellious beasts in chains.
They cleansed the land,
and peace returned for a time.
———
I saw a great flood coming,
and the giants were swept away in its fury.
A wooden structure rose above the waters,
and in it, a few were preserved.
After the waters receded,
new cattle arose from the earth,
and the land was made clean again.
———
After the flood, the white bull became a man,
and three new bulls were born.
One of them was chosen — glowing like the sun.
This chosen one led the flock out of captivity,
crossing a sea and climbing a mountain to receive light.
The sheep were given a house of law,
and the wolves who devoured them were driven away.
———
I saw shepherds appointed over the flock —
some were faithful, but others led them into traps.
Lions, leopards, and eagles came against the sheep,
and scattered them across the earth.
Yet again, the Most High sent messengers,
and the sheep were gathered once more.
———
A great tower was built among the sheep,
and they rejoiced in its light.
But the tower was abandoned,
and wolves returned in fury.
The sheep were taken into exile,
and the tower was burned with fire.
Still, the Eternal One watched,
recording every shepherd and every deed.
———
I saw a white Lamb arise from among the sheep.
He struck the beasts and stood upon the mountain of glory.
A great sword was given to the sheep,
and they drove out the enemies of light.
Then the eyes of the sheep were opened,
and they saw their true Shepherd —
the One who had been with them from the beginning.
———
I saw a great white house descend from the heavens,
and a new pasture was established.
The sheep entered with joy,
and the beasts could no longer approach.
All creation rejoiced,
and the Anointed One sat on the throne of glory.
The books were opened,
and judgment was given in righteousness.
A new era began —
with no more tears,
no more wolves,
only peace.
Enoch’s first dream warns of the Flood and pleads for mercy.
His second dream — the Animal Apocalypse — recounts world history through symbolic beasts:
White bulls = righteous leaders (Adam, Noah, Abraham)
Sheep = Israel
Wolves/lions/eagles = oppressive nations (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, etc.)
Shepherds = kings, prophets, and priests (both faithful and false)
The Lamb = the Anointed One / Son of Man
The dream ends with a new age of peace, the restoration of creation, and the enthronement of the Anointed One.
Chapters 91–105, The Epistle of Enoch, contains final teachings, prophetic blessings, woes to the wicked, and encouragement to the righteous remnant.
This section presents Enoch’s last words, sevenfold prophetic timeline, and urgent messages to both the righteous remnant and the corrupt rulers of the earth.
Chapters 91–105: Final Words to the Generations, the Just, and the Judged
———
Enoch gathered his children and grandchildren,
and said to them:
“Listen, my beloved ones,
and walk in the way of righteousness.
Do not let your hearts be drawn into the paths of violence or pride.”
“You shall be witnesses to a world of confusion —
but the time of truth shall come.”
And Enoch gave them a vision of the ages:
The Seven Weeks (Epochs of History):
In the first week, a man of truth is born,
and righteousness will flourish.
In the second, evil grows, and a flood comes to purify the earth.
In the third, a covenant is revealed,
and a chosen people arise.
In the fourth, a house of holiness is built —
yet later defiled.
In the fifth, the righteous are scattered,
and wisdom is hidden.
In the sixth, the Anointed One is revealed,
and the remnant is prepared.
In the seventh,
a new heaven appears,
and the righteous dwell in glory.
———
“Let truth be your foundation,
and do not sell your soul for silver.”
“The path of the wicked is wide,
but its end is fire.
The path of the righteous is narrow,
but its end is life.”
“Do not fear the oppressor,
for he is like smoke in the wind.”
———
“Violence shall increase in the days of the sixth week,
and rulers will worship the works of their hands.”
“But in the seventh,
all judgment shall be completed,
and the power of the wicked shall be broken.”
“Blessed is the one who endures until the time of renewal.”
———
“Woe to you who amass wealth through injustice.
You will have no rest in the Day of Fire.”
“You build palaces of stone,
but you will not sleep within them.”
“You silence the voice of the poor,
but your own voice shall be silenced in judgment.”
———
“Lift up your hearts, O righteous!
Though you are few,
your reward shall be great.”
“The wicked may mock you,
but the Most High sees you.
He will clothe you in light,
and your joy shall never end.”
———
“Woe to you, kings of the earth,
who devour the people like bread.”
“The hour is coming
when your thrones will be overturned,
and your crowns burned in flame.”
“You trusted in your armies and your silver,
but they shall not save you.”
———
“Woe to you who build cities on the backs of the innocent.
You will be judged in the place where you spilled blood.”
“Your walls will fall,
and the things you feared shall find you.”
———
“Woe to those who plan evil in secret.
Nothing shall remain hidden
when the books are opened.”
“Woe to those who lead others into sin,
for their burden will be multiplied.”
———
“Depart from the ways of the wicked,
and do not imitate their pride.”
“Honor the Set-Apart Name,
and your name shall be written among the stars.”
“The righteous may fall,
but they will rise again.
The wicked stand tall —
but they will fall with no one to lift them.”
———
“The Anointed One shall appear,
and the spirits of truth shall go before Him.”
“He will strike the kings of the earth
and rescue the humble.”
“The mountains shall shake at His presence,
and all creation shall rejoice in His justice.”
———
“Do you not see the power of the sea,
how it obeys the command of the Most High?”
“Do not be proud, O man,
for you are dust.
But the One who formed you from dust
holds the oceans in His hand.”
———
“Do not say in your heart,
‘After we die, who will see us?’”
“The Most High sees all things —
He will raise the righteous from the dust,
and give them crowns of light.”
“Their tears will be wiped away,
and their joy will never fade.”
———
“Though the righteous die in sorrow,
their souls are gathered into light.”
“They rest beneath the wings of the Spirit,
and their names are remembered in heaven.”
“They shall awaken,
and walk in the Garden of Delight.”
———
“These writings I give you, O children of truth —
so that you may walk in wisdom.”
“A generation will rise
who will not be deceived by false words,
but will love the Light
and follow the Set-Apart One.”
———
“I leave these words to you,
written by my own hand —
so that in the days to come,
the wise may rise
and the seekers may find their way.”
“Blessed are those who receive these scrolls in trust,
for they shall shine like the stars,
and stand in the presence of the Anointed One.”
Enoch gives his final sevenfold timeline of history, revealing cycles of corruption and restoration.
He encourages the righteous, warns the wicked, and foretells the reign of the Anointed One.
He affirms the hope of the resurrection, the justice of the Most High, and the eternal reward of those who walk in truth.
The scroll ends with a charge to future generations to preserve these teachings and await the day when light shall reign.
Chapters 106–108 — the final three chapters of 1 Enoch. These include the birth prophecy of Noah, visions of the final judgment, and a last blessing to the righteous remnant.
These closing visions complete The Book of Enoch with a prophetic account of Noah’s birth, the destinies of the righteous and the wicked, and a final blessing to those who endure in trust and light.
Chapters 106–108: The Birth of Noah, the Final Separation, and the Blessing of the Remnant
———
After Enoch’s departure, his son Methuselah received word from his own son, Lamech,
who was troubled by a strange vision — the birth of a radiant child.
Lamech said:
“My son was born with a body whiter than snow,
hair like wool, and eyes like rays of the sun.
When he opened his eyes, light filled the house.”
“His voice shook the walls,
and his appearance was not like other children.
I fear he is not from the sons of men.”
Methuselah went to ask Enoch,
and Enoch replied:
“Do not be afraid, Lamech.
This child is holy and set apart.”
“He is not from the watchers,
but from the righteous line.
His name shall be Noah,
and through him, the earth shall be preserved from judgment.”
“For a great flood is coming,
and Noah shall be the vessel of life,
a comfort to the remnant.”
———
In those days, a book was written for the generations to come,
a record of all who choose wickedness over trust.
Their names shall be blotted out,
and they shall have no inheritance in the earth of light.
But for the righteous,
the book of remembrance shall remain open,
and their names shall be sung by the messengers of heaven.
Those who walk in truth
shall never be forgotten by the Most High.
But the watchers who led men into sin —
their spirits shall groan in the deep,
and they shall see no dawn.
———
Another scroll was revealed to Enoch,
a vision reserved for the wise and the faithful.
In it, he saw:
A generation of fire and smoke,
where the wicked devour each other like beasts.
And a people of peace, clothed in white,
who shine like the stars of heaven.
These are they who endured sorrow with patience,
who loved truth when it was hated,
who did not defile themselves with greed or violence.
To them shall be given rivers of joy,
gardens of delight,
and everlasting light.
Their reward is with the Anointed One,
and their rest shall never be taken from them.
And Enoch was lifted again,
and he wrote all these things
for the generation of light —
for those who would rise again in the last days.
The scroll ends with the birth prophecy of Noah, whose life is ordained to preserve creation during the flood.
The righteous are written in the scroll of life, while the wicked are remembered only for judgment.
A generation of light is promised — those who hold fast to truth and are clothed in glory in the end.
Enoch's writings are sealed for the wise, to be opened in the appointed time.
