1.1.6 How to Read This Book
This is not a traditional Bible commentary.
You are not being asked to study doctrines or memorize systems. You are being invited into a different way of seeing — one rooted in the Spirit behind the words, not just the surface of the words themselves.
Here’s how to approach this book:
1. Read with openness, not defensiveness.
This project is not about attacking faith — it is about refining it. If something challenges you, resist the instinct to immediately defend old frameworks. Sit with the tension. Let the Spirit guide you.
2. Pay attention to the restored meanings.
Throughout this book and the restored Scriptures, certain words you may be familiar with — like hell, wrath, judgment, baptism — are reframed through their original Hebrew and Greek meanings. This is not linguistic manipulation. It is a return to what the texts actually said before centuries of tradition overlaid them.
3. Notice the restored flow of the Scriptures.
In the translation sections, you’ll see that traditional chapter and verse divisions are not always followed rigidly. These divisions were added centuries after the original writings and sometimes interrupt the natural flow of thought. Where necessary, they have been adjusted to restore the intended movement of the text.
(For more, see the next section: Note on Chapters and Verses.)
4. Move slowly — relationally — not informationally.
This book isn’t something to rush through. It’s meant to be walked with, prayed through, and sat inside of. Let it stir, convict, heal, and awaken parts of you that religion may have numbed.
5. Stay tethered to the Spirit.
The same Spirit that spoke through the prophets, the apostles, and Jesus Himself is available to you now. Trust that you don’t need to be an academic or theologian to recognize truth when you hear it. The sheep know the Shepherd’s voice.
Read with your heart open, your mind discerning, and your spirit anchored in trust.
The Bible Restored isn’t just about information — it’s about transformation.
