2 Esdras - 5 Ezra (component)

“I led you out of Egypt with signs and wonders.

I fed you in the wilderness.

I gave you My Law at Sinai.

But you have forgotten Me.”

“I called you sons, but you rejected My ways.

I sent you prophets, but you mocked them.

I warned you with mercy, but you chose pride.”

“You are no longer My delight.

Your house is left to you desolate.

Strangers will inherit what was yours.”

———

“Gather, My faithful ones.

Bring together those who trust in My Name.

They will rejoice while others weep.”

“I will call a people who were not called.

They will honor Me, while those who bore My name turned away.”

Ezra sees a vision:

A great mountain of people in white robes, holding palm branches.

A radiant man stands among them, placing crowns on their heads.

Ezra asks, “Who is he?”

The angel answers: “He is the One kept for a time—the Anointed.

He crowns those who confessed His Name in the world.”

“Tell the people: their suffering is not forgotten.

Their hope will be crowned with joy.”

This is not the voice of a God eager to punish.

It is the cry of a parent who watched their children walk away.

“I gave you everything—

but still you left.”

And yet, in that heartbreak, a new vine begins to grow.

One not born of blood or tribe—

but of trust.

The rejected vineyard is not the end.

It is the beginning of a wider harvest.

“Their joy will be full.

Their names will not fade.

And the Anointed One will place crowns upon their heads.”
