The Letter of Peter to Philip

Peter, an apostle of Jesus the Anointed, to Philip our beloved brother and fellow apostle, and to the brothers with you: greeting. I would have you know, brother, that we received commandments from our Lord and the Savior of the whole world, to gather together and to teach and to preach the salvation that was promised us. But you held yourself apart from us, and did not wish us to assemble. Now, then, come; for our Lord has commanded it.

When Philip received and read it, he came with joy to Peter. And the apostles gathered on the mountain that is called the Mount of Olives, where they used to assemble with the blessed Anointed when he was in the body. They knelt and prayed, saying, Father of light, who holds the imperishable, hear us, as you have taken pleasure in your holy child Jesus the Anointed; for he became for us an illuminator in the darkness. Hear us.

And there came a great light, so that the mountain shone, and a voice spoke to them, saying, Listen to my words that I may speak to you. Why do you seek me? I am Jesus the Anointed, who is with you forever. [Text missing]

The apostles asked, Lord, we would learn of the deficiency of the aeons and of their fullness; and why we are held in this dwelling place; and how we came here; and in what manner we shall go forth; and why the powers fight against us. And the voice answered them out of the light: It was the Mother, in her presumption, who acted without the will of the Greatness; and from this came the deficiency, and the powers that rule the world. But the fullness sent me, the beloved, to gather what is its own; and I came down and was clothed, and the powers did not know me. [Line damaged]

And the voice said, You must suffer, because of the smallness of those who do not listen; but take courage, for I am with you always. Then the apostles worshiped, and gave thanks, and returned to Jerusalem teaching, and a great power and peace came upon them, and they healed many in the name of Jesus the Anointed.
